JotStay is built with privacy as a core principle. The app works entirely on your device. Your notes never leave your iPhone — there is no server, no cloud sync, and no data collection of any kind.

Data storage

Your notes are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. There is no cloud backup, no remote database, and no server-side storage. Your data exists only on your iPhone.

Data collection

JotStay does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. The app makes zero network requests — it does not communicate with any server at any time.

Analytics & tracking

There are no analytics, no crash reporting services, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. JotStay contains no third-party code that monitors your behavior.

Permissions

JotStay requests permission to send notifications. These are local notifications only — they are generated and displayed entirely on your device. No notification content is ever sent to a server.

Third-party services

JotStay uses no third-party services, SDKs, or frameworks. The app is built exclusively with Apple's native technologies.

Data deletion

You can delete any note by swiping it away in the app. Uninstalling JotStay removes all stored data from your device completely.

Children's privacy

Because JotStay does not collect any data, there are no special concerns regarding children's privacy. The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is updated, the changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. The app's core commitment to keeping your data on your device will not change.
